An Unforgettable FTC Experience

FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) is a robotics competition for students aged 12–18 to design, build, and program a robot to compete in an alliance format against other teams. But it’s way more than just building robots!

FTC empowers students to think like engineers and problem-solvers. Guided by adult coaches and mentors, teams of up to 15 students develop STEM skills and practice engineering principles while realising the value of hard work, innovation and working as a team.

Alongside technical challenges, teams engage in branding, fundraising, and community outreach to earn recognition and awards. Each season concludes with an exciting FIRST Championship.

The event runs over three exciting days, beginning with registration on the opening afternoon, followed by two days of official FIRST Tech Challenge competition. The championship concludes with a celebratory closing ceremony, recognising team achievements and community spirit. Beyond the competition field, teams will also enjoy a range of fun and engaging activities, making the Asia Pacific Open Championship an unforgettable FTC experience.
